Critter Page
We have a great love for animals. Dogs, Cats, Horses, MooCows, all kinds of critters.
Currently we are co-owned by 4 dogs, and about 20+ cats. Nearly all of our critters were strays that were abandoned on the property, or rescued from the pound or abusive homes.
Dogs
Baron: a 12yr old Alaskan Malamute, rescued from the pound about 11 years ago. Baron is my buddy and amigo. He is starting to slow down now, has a bit of arthrites in his hips. Still loves to talk, and wrassal around.
?Baron Passed on, in 1999, of old age at 14. He passed in his sleep.
Britany: a Aussi-Chow cross, stray, about 4 yes old. Typicle of Chows, she is a traveler, unless she is kept in a fenced in area, she will run for days.
Britany ran one time to many..and was never seen again
Dakota: one of Britany's pups, Golden Retriver, Aussi-Chow , 8 months, and not gonna get much older unless he stops chewing up my shoes, belts, hats, and any thing else he can get a hold of. I swear this dog could chew up an anvil. Dakota is Mary's baby, hand raised by her, he is her shadow. He got parvo as a pup, but survived to become a lovable Devil-dog.
Molly, very elderly cockapoo that my sister couldnt keep when she moved. Molly is sorta an inky blob, but loves attention.
Molly passed on in 2000. She was 12 yrs old.
Cats
We live on the edge of town, and it seems that everytime someone throws away a cat, we wind up with it. Feeding time looks like a stampede around the food bowls. We go through about 20lbs of cat food each week. Any body need a cat? We can deliver, either a single cat or in bulk.
One-eye: One eyed feral all white kitten machine. If we could catch her, we'd have her neutered.
Squeek: Mixed color domestic tabby. Very! Pushy lap cat. And a complainer.
Bear: Seal point Siamese. He is the old man of the place. He keeps the squits in line.
Chips: My LA cat. He was abandoned as a kitten, and I took him home. He is featured on my Annex pages
Ghost: She is a long haired black and white tabby. She is virtually unhandleable. She lives somewhere inside the house and we see her at the food bowl..but thats about it....
Harley: He is gonna be Bears successor. An off white BIG cat, he likes kittens, pups, dogs and nearly anybody. But he will protect smaller cats from the bigger ferals.
A bunch of unnamed strays, some handleable, some feral.
